As of today, I have two more weeks left.
Two more weeks to what I would say is a 'stable life'. Two more weeks of familiarity, two more weeks of hope. Two more weeks of serenity, two more weeks of seven years.
The past two weeks have been great, come to think of it. Spent a chunk of my time writing for uni, but at the same time there were some dinners, a few bbqs, charades, a cook off, generous amounts of sun and a whole lot of laughter.
Had my last day of work on Thurs. A friend asked if I'm sad? Nope, but I will miss the people. Perhaps the same will apply for Hamilton. As well as the peaceful walks, taking in the natural scenery that is often taken for granted.
While I'm looking forward to a some things, like the weekend getaway in Pauanui, I still want to immerse myself with as much of Hamilton. Leave with happy thoughts, retain blissful memories.

Watches
The designer assignment is bad, it makes me want stuff.
Been liking the idea of a bow necklace and a watch necklace, what more putting the two together!
Anyway I've been wanting a watch for a while now, saw this cool watch.

While I'm here let me share my stories with watches. When I was in primary school, I was super into wearing watches. I would wear watches every single day. I go so used to wearing a watch it would make me uneasy if I had no watch on me to tell me the time. I even got myself a watch tan as a result of my watch wearing. My dad would buy me the watches, got a cool Looney Tunes one, a few bum kids ones, and finally, towards the end of primary school, a proper bum watch.
.
It was my first proper watch, it had metal bands, it even had glow in the dark hands (as in the hour and minute hands)! I had moved on from the plastic straps, the colourful watches. I loved my new watch that costed RM200+, which was alot for me back in the day as a 12 year old kid. Still is, come to think of it:P Unfortunately, I somehow lost it at the year end tong xue hui at Crown Prince Hotel (if i have not mistaken) when we went swimming on Saturday morning. I felt so disappointed and guilty. That would have been my shortest lived watch and my most treasured watch. Following that I went back to plastic type watches and gift watches. 9 years later and I have yet to replace that prized watch with a better watch.
.
My attachment to watches kinda ended after I got my first cell phone, for my 16th birthday. Since then I have gotten used to living without a watch. Until I was at the anz assessment centre and there were no clocks in the room and cell phones were not allowed. I felt so uneasy I borrowed a watch for the westpac assessment centre. Having said that, I think my dear attachment to watches in my earlier days have trained me to be pretty good at estimating time. haha.

Designer blogs and Op shopping
It's so funny how I can't get myself to start doing my assignment, even though on a normal day this would be a form of procrastination for me. My assignment is an ethnography on designer products. Why people can rant on and on about their latest designer bag purchase, or shoes, or branded piece of clothing. If anyone knows of blogs that have this do let me know:)
On another note, I feel like goin op shoppin! If you're wondering what is op shoppin or op shops are, they are pretty much second hand stores like the Salvation Army store or the Hospice store. So people donate their pre-loved or old clothing there and the sales go towards charity. Well, that's more the case in Hamilton. In Auckland it's often a business, but you can get really nice vintage pieces, though its a lot more pricey. Overall it's really fun, feels like you're on a treasure hunt. Let me share some treasures from the op shops:
This was taken at the Seek art exhibition, where 4 of the girls from church used their artisitic talent as a means of fundraising for TEAR fund. Some of the peices of art can be seen in the background. Anyway, the op shop piece here is the white top I'm wearing. It's sheer with pleated detail. NZ$6.

The next op shop item, I can't seem to find a decent picture of it. This is probably one of the most used op shop item of mine. Its an oversized navy blue cardigan, with a striped neckline detail and gold buttons. It was in very good condition, looked almost new. NZ$3. Photos were taken in Melbourne.

haha, this is my sister's piece, which she got from Hamilton when we went op shoppin one day. It's an electric blue woolen sweater. This is her at a 21st up in Auckland. NZ$ 6.
This is my most recent op shop item. Got it one rainy day up in Ponsonby. It's a woolen scarf, black with awesome rose and leaf crochet detail. NZ$ 23.

Week 14
On Wednesday, I had my last class of uni ever, or at least for a long long time. The class was a test though, so kinda waltzed in, sat down, wrote, and walked out. Yea so that sums up my last uni class experience. And that marks the end of finance for me.
Went out with case compers on Thurs nite. We had Thai for dinner. Were supposed to go for Karaoke after that but ended up roaming around town. Fun, fun times.
Then up to Auckland for Kaitlyn's dedication. She is such a cutie, shower her with kisses and she'll reward you with smiles that melt your heart.
Now its back to Hamilton soon. Still got my marketing assignments left. But apart from that, the next few weeks should be fun filled! Am lovin' it, and the summer sun!

Age
You know you're getting old when...
Your friends and you play a game of flags. There is a 18? 19? year old guy who is running super fast while the rest of you start to feel a lil puffed. Some even feel like vomiting.
Your friends and you play a game where you have to pick up a cardboard box using your mouth, without your hands or knees touching the ground. It goes well, a few people still going when its just a tiny piece of cardboard left. But the next day, a few people wake up and aren't able to move.
But you're still young at heart when...
You're still playing games that were played in high school, or even primary school.
People jump out of the bush making others scream their heads off.
You still think games that involve running around are so much fun!

4 more weeks!
I have 4 more weeks of classes then I'm done for good! 4 weeks is nothing too, considering I only have like 5 hours of class a week, haha. I know it sounds like I have the easy life but with little class time comes weird assignments which takes up time, lol, haha maybe my flatmates might disagree cos I don't seem to be very busy with uni work this sem. Anyway uni is fun, not so much what I've been learning this semester, but the short amount of time I spend there is quite often filled with genuine laughter.
I have booked my flight tickets back to the tropical island! Am really looking forward to it, won't be as long a trip as usual, but nonetheless exciting. And God is awesome, I have a plan for next year, but I won't share it here, hehe. E-mail me if you'd like to know, or just ask me when I see you:)

Shallow
Haha okay so from now on til when I decide I'm going to write shallow posts cause I memang am a shallow person so I am not going to try make you all think otherwise with thoughtful posts.
Am so lazy ler, for a paper I am looking into people who blog or Youtube their new luxury purchases, like buying their new LV bag and reading about how much they love it etc. Sounds kinda interesting right? Some more get to see nice bags. Well usually I'd think its interesting la, but the moment I link it to "UNI WORK", I get put off by it. So am slacking cause thinking about uni work makes me no longer interested in a topic that I would usually use as a tool for procrastination. Oh the irony.
Have been looking at home interior lately, am very fickle when trying to figure out what I would like in my house. Here are some that I found interesting:
Some hotel concept...kinda cool but not too good for people like me who have some sort of fear of heights though
Quite like this one, but doubt I'd be able to keep my room so spotless. After uni I think I'm going to dump my notes and textbooks in the recyling bin. haha.

Actually I quite like having a white base, then can just change certain things like cushions, when I change my mind or go through different phases and fads of likes and dislikes. eg now I am loving lace, wallpaper, floral, polka dots:p Plus white is so nice on a sunny day. I love sunny days!
...Like this one, the sun shining in, so peaceful, so full of hope.
